"A garden is evidence of faith. It links us with all the misty figures of the past who also planted and were nourished by the fruits of their planting." -Gladys Taber
I've chosen a rather tropical feel for this painting...perhaps to chase away the winter blues?!
The background is a bit bright, I will leave it for now, and come back in and tone it down later. The colors used were: Green Apatite Genuine, Phtalo Blue, Quinacridone Gold and Quinacridone Red....all Daniel Smith paints of course!
I have added a second glaze on the background. The colors are still bright and blotchy...another glaze after the painting has come along further should help to soften and tone down the background.
Now on to the lace!
This painting will be included in the upcoming "Library Show" January & February 2010.
