On The Easel, Watercolor Paintings By Laura Leeder

"Painting requires the bravery of solitude. Painting requires disciplined labor. To be a painter is to search the world with a benevolent eye for every subtle beauty that the infinite world offers."       -Charles Philip Brooks

Just for a change, I thought I'd post not one....but several of the paintings that I am currently working on.

#1  Birds w/apples (not titled)
      Size:  7 1/2"x9 1/2"

#2 Single Hydrangea (not titled)
     Size:  6 3/4"x8"

#3  Hibiscus, Peaches, Pottery (not titled)
      Size:  8 1/4"x9 1/2"

Currently, I have 5 paintings in various stages of completion.  (3 is usually my comfort level)   So it is time to focus on one or two of these small ones and bring them to completion!  (I have two more set ups photograped that I am eager to start.....both with holly from my back yard.  I will start sketching them out next week.....)  I have more ideas than I have time & energy!

I will spend a half hour more in the studio....then it's outside to enjoy the glorious weather we are having!
