On The Easel-A New Painting With Roses And Tea

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."   -Anais Nin

This is a perfect example of why I love watercolors!  Look at the beautiful translucent quality! This is a result of glazing transparent paints, starting with light, clear washes and slowly building values.

Color's used are: Daniel Smith-Q.Gold, Burnt Sienna, Rose Madder Genuine, Q.Red, Phthalo Blue, Ult. Blue and a touch of Green Apatite Genuine.

It feels so good to be back in the studio.....I was starting to get anxious and a wee bit cranky!

Enjoy your day, Laura Leeder
