The tea is about "Women supporting Women" and this years theme was Friendship, Roses and Royal Tea. The funds raised on Saturday the 19th, will be given to the East Kootenay Foundation For Health in support of new equipment needed in the maternity ward of the Creston Hospital.
This was my third year participating in this annual Pink Garden Tea fundraiser (now in it's 5th year). I continue to be amazed and impressed by these tireless organizers and hosts of the Pink Garden Tea. Each year they put on a fabulous spread and go out of their way to make everyone in attendance feel extra special. For example my table had the honour of being served with the beautiful chintz teapot and china that was the inspiration for the above painting! (how thoughtful is that?!)
This year two special artist friends joined me in donating to this event. Eileen Gidman and Win Dinn donated gifts for the door prizes. See Eileen's blog post here.

They are truly amazing women and each year their efforts remind me that a gesture (small or large) from each of us can make a huge difference in someones life.

It was special being served out of the chintz teapot. It truly is a lovely detailed watercolour painting you did of it.
That was a treat! Sharing the event with you and Win, made it all the more special!
Such a lovely and caring afternoon tea. Debbie and gang put huge effort into ensuring that the details are managed impeccably. Lovely to be there with you, Laura, to see that print go to a new home. I am so appreciative of your efforts towards supporting this event.
Dear Laura - I am sure your painting will be so appreciated. It is so wonderful when others reach out to help with things that do make a difference. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Many thanks Win for your attendance and support each year! It's an honour to play such a small role in helping these ladies raise funds.
