The 2015 Pink Garden Tea and Fundraiser!

"Come along inside... We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a better place." ~Attributed to Kenneth Grahame

WELCOME to the 2015 Annual Pink Garden Tea!

Thank You Joel Armsden for purchasing "Lady May" .

The proceeds from the sale of this print and all other items that were up for auction will go towards helping a local family in need.  A special thanks to Terry and Alison Spzak of 4 Corners Matting & Framing in Creston for donating the mat and shrink wrap.

The theme for this years tea was "Teatime and Quilted Memories".

The garden looked lovely as usual with little vignettes sprinkled throughout.

All the tables were dressed with colorful linens and fine china.

Discover The Circle Of Friends Artisan Shoppe As You Travel The East Shore Of Kootenay Lake, BC

"Art is a shadow of what a person is thinking... a small glimpse of what they hold inside. Little secrets, regrets, joys... every line has its own meaning."

The Circle Of Friends Artisan Shoppe, is located in the historic village of Riondel along the northern tip of the east shore of Kootenay Lake, BC.

The Circle of Friends Artisan Shoppe is #28 on the Art Connection Tour.  Along with my own art (as the feature artist), this intriguing shoppe showcases the works of East Shore artists, artisans, writers, photographers, and musicians in a coffee house setting.

A brochure of the tour can be picked up wherever the Art connection logo is displayed and at the Chamber of Commerce in Crawford Bay.

With summer now in full swing, I hope that you can slow down and enjoy extra time with family and friends.

I will be spending as much much time as possible at Forest Haven, our lakeside retreat.  My blog posts may be irregular and my presence on social media next to none through the rest of the summer as I take my own advice and slow down.

I will continue to check my email daily.  Please allow 3 to 4 days for packing and shipping on any orders placed through July and August.

Thanks Kindly, and now I'm off to the beach for the afternoon!

This Summer Discover The Wealth Of Talented Artists And Artisans On The East Shore Of Kootenay Lake.

"A man's life is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened." ~ Albert Camus

Enjoy a leisure drive along the beautiful East Shore of Kootenay Lake this summer and visit the many galleries and businesses with the Kootenay Lake ART Connection logo.  You won't be disappointed!

Paintings by Sandy Kunze

Last week I took in the 1st venue on the tour  - the Kunze Gallery in Wynndel, BC.  Owner Sandy Kunze paints colourful large-scale still life paintings and creates richly textured, 3 dimension clay pieces.  The gallery features paintings, pottery, sculpture and photography by several other artists as well.

This gallery is a "must see" on your drive through the Kootenays'.

The visual feast starts the moment you enter the courtyard and continues in the "little gift shop" and the main gallery.
